T20 World Cup: Amir and Imad picked for Kakul camp

Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, who had previously announced their retirement from international cricket, have reversed their decision and will participate in the physical fitness camp at Kakul alongside Usman Khan and 26 other members of the Pakistani squad, in preparation for the T20 World Cup scheduled for June.

The camp, organized in collaboration with the Pakistan Army in Abbottabad, will run from March 26 to April 8, focusing on enhancing the players’ physical and mental strength for upcoming series and tournaments, including matches against New Zealand, Ireland, and England.

Experienced trainers and coaches will supervise the players’ tailored training regime aimed at improving their fitness levels, agility, leadership, strategic thinking, and overall performance. This announcement follows the recent restructuring of the national selection committee, which now comprises seven members, including former cricketers Mohammad Yousuf, Wahab Riaz, Abdul Razzaq, and Asad Shafiq, along with the head coach, captain, and an analyst.
