Gaza death toll exceeds 34,000

The Gaza health ministry, under Hamas control, reported that more than 34,000 people have died in the territory during over six months of conflict between Israel and Palestinian militants.

In the past 24 hours alone, at least 42 people have died, with over 76,000 wounded since the conflict began on October 7th, when Hamas militants launched attacks on Israel.

The statement highlighted that some victims were still trapped beneath debris due to intense airstrikes and a shortage of civil defense and ambulance teams.

In another announcement, ministry spokesperson Ashraf Al-Qedra stated that the Israeli military had effectively crippled the healthcare system in the northern Gaza Strip, leaving many without access to essential medical services.

He urged for the deployment of field hospitals and international medical teams with diverse specialties to address the urgent healthcare requirements of the community.
