Pakistan dispatches eighth humanitarian aid shipment to Gaza

Minister for Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar announced on Sunday that Pakistan has dispatched the eighth installment of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The 400-ton package includes winterized tents, tarpaulins, blankets, medicines, and food supplies, to be transported via sea. The shipment will be received by the Pakistani Ambassador at Port Said, Egypt, and then handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent for distribution.

Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to addressing the pressing humanitarian needs of the Palestinian community in Gaza. He noted that this effort follows previous shipments of relief supplies tailored to meet specific needs on the ground. Earlier shipments were dispatched to Al Arish, Egypt, where the Pakistani ambassador oversaw the transfer of aid before it continued to Gaza.

Additionally, a ceremony was held at Karachi port to mark the handover of the latest aid shipment, attended by Palestinian Ambassador Ahmad Rabaie, Additional Foreign Secretary Ambassador Ahmed Amjad Ali, representatives from the National Disaster Management Authority, and various relief organizations.
