Fans worry as Shah Rukh Khan gets hospitalized during IPL visit

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan has been admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad after experiencing a heat stroke. The actor, in town to watch the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between his team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), succumbed to the intense heat, with temperatures soaring to 45 degrees Celsius.

Sources reported that Khan, suffering from dehydration, is currently under medical observation, though his condition is stable. In response, security around the hospital has been significantly increased, according to the IANS news agency.

Close friend and fellow actress Juhi Chawla visited Shah Rukh at the hospital, with an official statement from the hospital expected soon, IANS noted.

Earlier that evening, Shah Rukh Khan celebrated KKR’s victory over SRH with a jubilant lap of honour at the Narendra Modi Stadium, accompanied by his children Suhana and Abram Khan. The triumph secured KKR’s place in the IPL 2024 finals.

The stadium resounded with chants of “SRK” as fans were thrilled by Khan’s signature open-arms pose. The official Instagram accounts of KKR and the IPL shared numerous pictures and videos of the family’s celebratory moment, highlighting Shah Rukh as “Our lucky charm, our King Khan!”

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in the film Dunki. His upcoming project, tentatively titled King, is speculated to feature him alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. However, an official confirmation of the film’s details is still pending.
